re: Womens soccer doesn't understand why pay isn't equal

The obvious solution is just do away with men and women's teams and let all the Xes play together since everything needs to be equal and there are no genders anyway, according to libs.
Of course, there'd be little to no women on said team but you cant play in a protected group and expect the same compensation.
Last I checked, minor leaguers are paid far less than players in the big leagues.
Most of the equal pay argument in any sector is purely emotionally driven and victim playing with little regard to any real facts.

Do not under-estimate the USMNT to lose. While I am not advocating pay changes, the USWNT is a national treasure and the USMNT is national disgrace.

This is about entertainment and what people want to see. People like cheering on a national team in things like the Olympics or World Cup. It is really more about national pride then the actually sport.

Demand for Women’s soccer outside of the World Cup/Olympics is non-existent in the US.

They probably lise by 3 or more goals to the high school national boys team.

If they are such big draws, then Nike should pay the extra they want.

They lost 8-0 to a U16 team which means 15 year old children. Lost to 14 year olds too.

if we had a top 4 men's soccer team, it would be painfully obvious to these twats.

unfortunately, we don't. we also don't need to spend a shitload more money or time talking about soccer. give these chicks what the men should have gotten last year for making the world cup. no one else in the world worries with their women's soccer team, neither should we.

Because of Title IX and the unbelievable (relative to other coutries) investment this country has provided in female specific athletics.

USWNT gets 13% of money brought in, USMNT gets 9%. It’s basic economics.

That’s not how pay is determined. FIFA had a profit sharing scheme with the various national teams based on the total revenue of the tournament. The Men’s World Cup brings in exponentially more money than Women’s
