If they can meet the exact same standards as their male counterparts and the standards aren’t lowered to allow for this.

That is the only way I would even consider it.

Being physically incapable is third or fourth on the list of reasons why this should never happen

Correct.

The strangest part of this is that the military knows and implicitly admits that mixing the sexes in forward positions is disruptive.

Better to get men and women killed by incompetence than appear sexist or insensitive

This.

It's not about the individual passing physical standards, it's about the effect on the whole unit.

It's a completely unnecessary logistical complication and distraction.

Women belong in the logistics, medical and administration fields. They don’t belong with the infantry or cav.

Spot on. This isn't a 9-5 job. Just take these 2 statements and consider them, together:
quote:

being about to go longer than a month in the field with no shower and only MREs like I did in Turkey
quote:

I served with one or two that I wouldn’t have minded sharing a foxhole with

So, your life and the lives of the team depend on focus and discipline, and you want to inject that distraction into the mix?

I heard women are crack shots. If they get a crack in the door, they'll be in. Not to good with vehicles though, too many crack ups. No more cracks about women in the military, this shite cracks me up.

This was not my experience as far as shooting

I’m going, no.

Base work, clerical duties, nursing/medical, fine. But not in combat roles.

I served in USMC 2/3 in combat.

Bottom line: if chicks want to serve in a 0311 unit in the USMC...do the same as all..piss, shite, pass physical tests, pass School of Infantry the same, boot camp the same, etc.

They don't...it's fricking pathetic. Even on basic work parties ( non NCOs doing shite like moving beds from Barracks or painting inside Barracks, etc.), chick's do less.

We used to dog them mercilessly...
