Because most liberal posters on this board think a joke on the campaign trail is directly tied to collusion with a hostile foreign power. It's sad, really

I do think that the body language was weird in that quick photo op. Putin looked forcefully relaxed while Trump was on the edge of his chair, which is normal for him in these scenarios it looks like.

And yet liberals have become body language experts and try to analyze every little movement Trump makes during his meeting with Putin and use it to convince themselves it's proof of collusion.

I'm not sure I agree. Just speaking for myself, I don't know what to make of the joke thing. I obviously agree that it sounded like a joke. At a minimum though, it's objectively coincidental that he made "the joke" earlier on the same day Russia's hackers tried to hack into Clinton's serve for the first time.
