Democrats will not help him pass stuff like mj legalization or infrastructure

It would increase his re-election chances

The ball is in the House's court. He can extend olive branches all day, but if Maxine Waters and Adam Schiff are hellbent on baseless investigations and impeachment, there's no way I'd play ball with the Dems.

Trump will cut a deal with people that want to cut deals in return. He's a business man.

But, they have been scorched earth on his arse since he got elected... so if he's not initially compliant, I wouldn't be surprised.

^ The obvious answer. Democrats rather see the country fail then see Trump get one iota of credit for anything.

He'll try, but the Democrats will stop any effort of his, no matter how beneficial.

The current Dem base demands that the Dems oppose anything and everything from Trump and the Republicans.

the Democrats' idea of bipartisanship is Republicans agreeing to 100% of their demands

Maybe a few of those new Dems who ran on working in a non partisan way, might actually get to prove that they are not liars.

There's a LOT of new Democrats there. Who knows how they'll feel and react.

The House ended up with a lot of new faces from the previous group. Who knows how they'll get along (or not get along, as the case may be).

Infrastructure is a no brainer. I doubt there is a bipartisan way to fix where "healthcare" is right now.

They won't have a choice. You think their constituents will be happy if they oppose legalization that is supported by Trump and/or Republicans?

they will not help him on anything...they haven't for 2 years straight. They will continue to waste taxpayer money on fighting Trump on everything he does.

I'm definitely left leaning, and screw that. I want a Congress and president that acts on the interest of its constituents. Is that too much to ask in this day in age?

Dems will not work with Trump. He has insulted the whole party. The next two years will be filled with investigations and exec orders.

He didnt need them for the first two years.. Republicans had the house and senate. Republicans only passed a few pieces of legislation.

If he introduces marijuana legalization and the Dems obstruct that. That will be the end of the party.

I hope the hell not.

Democrats NEVER I repeat NEVER cross the aisle except for things they want.

When Republicans cross the aisle they are always losing.

The house passed a huge amount of legislation.

A 2 vote difference when flake and the harpies are included is not “controlling” the senate
