I'm thinking he can spin it, if his people are on board.
"I tweeted something in haste and I get that you guys like that. And, I'll apologize to Ms. Omar for the tone of the thing, but I stand by the sentiment. It's not a race thing, I don't care what color anybody is. If you're here and you weren't born here and you hate the country? Maybe you should go back. If the First Lady hated America, I would, maybe, say she needs to go back. But, Melania loves America and I do, too."
Something like that would be a grand slam, IMHO.

The chant itself is another indicative trap that the left falls for once again.
The crazy lady is barely polling above 20% in her own district, meaning HER OWN PEOPLE DON'T EVEN LIKE HER. So, the more the left keeps playing the race card and victimizing a lady who doesn't even have the support of her own constituents; I would think that the rest of the country outside of the far left and the MSM would think the same way.

Pass. He didn't tell her to leave. He said if she didn't like America she is free to leave. People are only focusing on PART of what he said.

It's a fine distinction that Trump wants to make here. The chant shouldn't be "Send them back" rather it should be something more like "Free to Leave"

I don't see how it hurts Trump, he never said "send her back". He said she is welcome to go back if she disliked it here so much.
