Also nobody gives a shite in the real world how far right you are, you’re just the far extreme like the liberal squad.
it's very funny seeing 2026 mega largely turn its back on or condemn the "far right"
Awwww... It's okay, buddy. At least you guys and Pine Cone have Ro, the Squad, and the DSA leftists on your side... Because they LOVE the "far right," apparently. So conservative, and principled, you all are.

That is a massive oversimplification
Nope.
Not at all.
Are there a few exceptions, meaning policies that a populist would hold to even if their perceived "Us" leader diverted? Sure, a few. But there are always exceptions to any rule and that doesn't make the rule an oversimplification.
We're discussing factions within the right on this thread, but I've been very clear about this for years, both the right and the left have been consumed by this "Us & Them" populism. In fact, the left has been at it much longer than the right.
No one objects here when someone posts, "Trump ought to come out for men playing women's sports so that Democrats will start to oppose it," because everyone knows that the principle behind it is true.
It's just as true of rightist populism. O.k., maybe not quite just as true, because the right is relatively new at this, but there is one thing you can't reasonably argue with—MAGA embraces all sorts of policy positions that are leftist policies.
So you tell me...what are the underlying, foundational principles that MAGA rests upon if it's too simple to identify them as being "Us vs Them?"
I'm not talking about specific policy positions, I'm talking about foundational principles that lead to the policy positions, the principles from which the policy positions are derived.
Give me your more sophisticated understanding.
Because I'll be darned if I can figure out an underlying system of thought that results in favoring protectionist economic mechanisms (including tariffs, which are higher taxes), strict immigration control, the federal government buying into private businesses, expansion of federal government power, specifically the Executive branch, expanded government spending, selective tax exemptions, cheating is o.k. because the other side it doing it, complete disregard for the 1st Amendment as long as Muslims are involved, melting down when Biden said he'd use force to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, but cheering Trump for actually going to war with them over it, etc., etc., etc. that isn't "Us vs Them."
Give me the principles that lead to those conclusions.

This is such a great point. 90% of my time here is spent arguing over principles...
"It's wrong for any president and his family to wallow in foreign cash."
"What about Hunter Biden, you never said anything about him!!!!"
"Of course, I did. That's the point. It's wrong for the family of ANY president to take boatloads of foreign money."
"You have TDS! You voted for Kamala!"
This guy gets it.

Serious question.
If your analysis is that any political thought is "Us vs Them," simply because there is an opponent, I guess you're entitled to your opinion. You mentioned tariffs. Tariffs cut against Bush-GOP NWO precepts. In a normal environment, tariffs would be anything but "Us vs Them," in terms of GOP vs Dems.
But as you note, TDS demands Dems oppose anything Trump does. If a faction is in favor of disadvantaging US industry by continuing post World War II trade asymmetry 80 years after the fact, so be it. But considering tariffs as MAGA taking an "Us vs Them" position to target Dems is irrational.

I think it's really "Me First."
And that's a serious answer.

Go back and read again. I specifically stated that that is not the case, and gave examples to illustrate how, and expounded on why the distinction matters.

Good grief. I never said every position MAGA takes is simply to oppose the other team. Sometimes it's to use the government to cash in for themselves. That's an aspect of the situation that I have pointed out, not the entire idea. "Us vs Them is just the only foundation principle I can identify—and apparently the only one you can identify as well, since "Muh 'Merca 'Fust" is very obviously just a specific application of "Us vs Them." Not to mention that it's just a slogan, not a principle, and MAGA not infrequently disagrees about what it even means in any given context.
That's not to say that other policy decisions are never arrived at randomly. The whole point is that there's not really a philosophical center to the ideology.
Look, let's try it this way. Since you mentioned tariffs we'll use that example.
Trump gave at least 4 different reasons for implementing the tariffs, some of which have been exposed as being ridiculous, so MAGA trumpets the, "bringing back manufacturing to 'Merca" reason currently.
Forcing the re-shoring of jobs that the market took overseas by implementing tariffs is nothing more than the same type of wealth redistribution scheme that Obamacare was/is.
Every American pays more than they otherwise would for products. That money goes to hire a very small group of unskilled workers stateside. So the government forces a situation in which money is collected from all Americans in order to benefit a small group of Americans.
That's populist. That's MAGA. That's the traditional left. It's unions, it's Obamacare, it's "Muh 'Merca 'Fust." Which, again, is really, "Me First."
