I mean, he should have been doing that as soon as the election ended. I don’t hate Vance, but his support for Trump is very off-putting and I have no plans to vote for him if this failure of a presidency would continue to the next guy.

You realize there's still 3 years left in Trump's term, right?

If there’s anything I have learned from politics is that these things are cyclical. What people are panicking over in November will be forgotten by spring. Things change rapidly, and narratives change dramatically from week to week. A year from now, the economy could be looking significantly better or worse.

Everything is in flux, so it’s usually best not to emotionally overreact to everything, take a long term perspective and approach, evaluate things in aggregate, and not make hasty decisions until it’s time to actually cast a vote.

Maybe DeSantis? Surely I’d like someone who isn’t going to support unfettered immigration

Hell I don’t know that’s a good ways away.

JD Vance is a great VP doing very good “me too” interviews. He would have never developed Trump’s economics and security concepts, policies on his own. He was never in private sector management like Trump.

I personally the most qualified to succeed Donald Trump is Eric Trump for many reasons.

Read his book Under Siege. He has fire in his belly and the business wisdom to execute. He has run the Trump companies since 2015 when his father came down the escalator.

Seems like some people just don't learn. Trump has been counted out so many times, and he just comes back stronger. Like him or not, he just wins. JD would be wise to continue to toe the line.

approval ratings dont bounce back. Bidens approval rating dropped after the Afghan withdrawal, Bush's rating dropped after Katrina. Trump's 1st term was low as 40% (where Trump 2 is now) and I believe ended at 44%

Vance cant do that. the AF / MAGA that dislikes Trump at the moment also hates the Vance / Vivek wing.

Like Kamala couldnt distance herself from Biden, it will happen to Vance. but Biden stayed in the background after getting removed from the election, will Trump allow Vance to be the star of press conferences and the White House for the 2028 cycle without saying anything? And while Bannon is plotting Trump 2028 which undermines JD

He needs to be working on reducing the deficit. It is going the wrong way.

He needs to dump tariffs. They won't work.

He needs to start fixing healthcare. For instance letting some of us who are self employed buy true catastrophic policies without the ACA mandates.

He needs to stop with the all the big government nonsense.

I could go on and on.

What proof do you have to support this? Your not liking them is not proof. We were told in April that tariffs would massively increase prices, they have not.

So he and the Republicans need to fix the democrats "ACA frick-up"?

List the "Big Gubment Nonsense" you speak of.

You likely could, but the question is can you provide examples.

No, because he doesn't have to. He's smart enough to see any traps the D's might try to build into their chatter and he will take them, correct them, and stuff their questions where their sun doesn't shine.
