Will Democrats ever win a national election again?

The further the Dems shift further and further left, the disdain normal people have for liberal media, and the more they are lead by their radical fringe I really don’t see them winning a national election anytime soon.

Law of averages says it has to happen at some poInt.
I’m thinking it takes a major scandal to get a Jimmy Carter style fluke elected for one term, but probably not for another 8 years minimum at this rate.
Their coalition’s starting to splinter and their leadership is fricking insane. They need to do some major regrouping before they have a shot.

This country is still trending left. How far left it goes remains to be seen. Demographics don’t favor conservatives at all.

The very unfortunate answer is yes. I said the same thing about Republicans this last year. They are working behind the scenes to change districts and voting laws in order to take seats. They are the swamp and it will never go away. They will obviously have to come back towards the middle to make this happen though before they swing hard left again.

I would argue the opposite. Trump has formed an entire new coalition and the rust belt is quickly on its way to becoming as red as the south. His election was as much of a culture war as it was anything else and I’m not sure the country is shifting left like it was.
Also, Trumps approvals are higher today than the day of the election, and many swing voters who were possibly scared of how Trump would govern, has now had those fears squashed as Trump delivers win after win. Then when Nicki Haley wins in 2024, it’s game over.
