Why stop at the American Strait of Hormuz?

Take control of international waters and shipping routes by claiming:
-Suez Canal
-Panama Canal
-Malalka strait
-horn of Africa
-turkey strait that connects the black sea

My guess is he stops there because it's the only one where a terrorist regime is currently affecting the global energy market.
I would have no problem with America taking over the Panama Canal though as we currently subsidize Central America through immigration.

Because 1) we can’t and 2) that would result in everyone putting up tolls and essentially a massive global tax on everyone.
Waterways have been free and clear for the most part since the end of WW2 which has lead to incredible prosperity (via trade).
We are trying hardest to ruin that as we speak.
