Their plan was to delay this nominee pastime he midterms hoping they regained control of the Senate. The allegations were nothing but lies aimed at delaying. People should be jailed for what they did.

Hail Mary to keep base energetic in hopes of getting house and maybe squeezing the senate so they could negotiate a more center candidate..I’m of the belief that it had the opposite affect and the right is now energized on steroids..

Kav gave them a clear 5-4 conservative majority. That is why. The court is now tipped towards an originalist/textualist direction.

Just have to add here that that phony baloney letter the 2 door Ford "wrote" had the line with Kav's name a different font and it was said that they had tried to do the same to Gorsuch. Just took that partial line out and inserted Kav's name and were very sloppy doing it.

The time clock the republicans were working with because of the midterms. If they could have gotten Kav to withdraw, they could have strung out the process through November.
If they borked Gorsuch, the republicans could have just gone with next man up.
