Why is everyone freaking out about ZTE?

Trump said he wants to help ZTE get back on its feet after they took massive hits for putting spyware in their products sold in America. Even Trump supporters are going crazy on Twitter saying "we didn't vote to make China great again".
Are these people just dumb, obtuse, or what? Every fricking phone is made in China, regardless of manufacturer. It is what it is. Trump didn't cause that. Our electronics supply chain has been Asian for around 30 years. Nothing is made in America anymore. Is this some revelation to these people?
Second, any of our devices could be backdoored. Indeed, I am more worried about NSA putting backdoors in gear than I am the Chinese. Snowden outed NSA, we KNOW they do it. NSA made PowerPoint slides with the words "NSA inside" next to the Intel logo. They brag internally how they have bugs in everything. And we have the audacity to preach about China subverting products? GTFO.
Third, it's obvious why Trump is doing this. He wants China's help on NK and he wants to negotiate better trade deals. You give to get something in return. We are tied at the hip with China economically. I wish it weren't so, but it's reality.

Tem9pest in a tea pot. Not going to affect 99.9999% of U.S. citizens or workers.

Plus, it's our chips/processors and proprietary devices we'd be selling them. win win

This is what I thought initially. And given how Kim has acted recently (release of Americans, closure of nuke facilities with media presence), clearly Xi has gotten to him to some extent, that things aren't like they were.

Besides the phone security issue is the appearance of a quid pro quo. The Chinese government is set to loan $500 million loan to a state-owned construction company to build an Indonesian theme park which will include Trump-branded golf course and hotels. Even if the deal is above board it looks shady, especially in the context of tariffing other Chinese products.

And I think this is even more impressive than the NK/USA summit meeting. I am absolutely convinced that China told the little rocket man = "do this or you are on you f'n on. Now go beg."
Setting that attitude in China is Trump's most impressive accomplishment.

You could have just saved yourself a lot of time and said "God Emperor Trump can do no wrong. If you find yourself questioning him take time to figure out your error"
Looks to me like 8" Xi sliding that cock up Trumps arse.

Because ZTE is a Chinese Gov backed company that specializes in telecom.
You really want the Chinese sniff your radio bands?

ZTE is essentially Chinese Intelligence fronted as a Telecom company.
Their equipment is constantly failing (because they don't actually give a shite about quality, just the data coming in).

It might help if you familiarized yourself with the history and reason for the 7 year ban, but I doubt it.
