Because I’m not a lazy piece of shite

Because there is something to being a viable human being and not wanting everything just handed to you like a helpless invalid. A person should have some sense of pride and responsibility, things sure work better that way

Benefits and not being a worthless POS. And smart ones know that when this is over, some of us would never hire their asses back and they like their job.

COVID19 payment for UI isn't going to last long. Isn't like 6 week or some shite like that? Companies that had low life scum working for them are not going to hire back the same low life scum.
Those that got forloughed are likely to return, but this whole unemployment thing allows businesses to turnover staff that they wanted to fire and just needed a reason to get rid of them.
Voluntarily going on UI is the dumbest shite I have ever heard. Is dumb. It's retarded. It only does harm to yourself long-term.

Actually, pretty sure you get what you would normally get from your state and then $600/week on top from Federal...

I like a steady paycheck that will last past that extra 600 a week.

Where I live it’s about $40k a year. Why go back to work for anything less than $15 per hour. For employers where I live, that’s going to be an issue when we re-open. The guberment basically went an doubled minimum wage. IMO the benefits should have been based on what you made prior to this event.

People should go back if they’re asked to come back working full time. However, if a company can’t work someone full time right now and they’re making a good bit more in unemployment than they would working 20 hours or so a week, how can anyone blame the employees for not coming back? The extra $600 was designed to have people stay home. It’s not the employees fault the government shut their jobs down. When the company offers the 40 hours back and the employee still doesn’t want to work...... unemployment should be lifted.

My sister started work again last Monday. She makes less working than she did during her unemployment. I get the OP question. I think the answer is they have to whether they want to or not.

Trying to build a future so they can take care of family and themselves?

Can't get unemployment if you voluntarily quit, numbnuts.
Can't continue to receive it if your employer calls you back to work, either.

Good luck getting employment verified. Fraud being committed left and right.
