Threatening to sue and actually suing are two VERY different things.

Why should he sue? He's ahead in the polls and not paying a dime for all the advertising. Dude's gonna win

Hijack:

Just finished episode three of the Polybius podcast. It's pretty entertaining.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wins even if the accusations are proven to be true

Roy Moore can't win a defamation suit because he can't prove these women are lying. In the same manner, the allegations against Moore can't be proven, either.

It's a catch-22; the timing of the allegations is beyond suspicious, but there's also the possibility the women are being truthful.

Eventually, the truth will be revealed.

Because they can get away with simply printing a claim.

They are not required to prove veracity.

Assuming the WashPo did not bribe women to invent stories, in my nonlawyer's opinion, any defamation claim would have to target the claimants rather than the publisher of their claims.

Its not even possible for them to be proven true unless you have a very expansive definition of proven

Really? I would have never guessed...

Yeah, that's about all i can say about it. The guy that this podcast is about, seems to be a bit of a nutjob.

Let's say he owns up to them. I still think he can win. This is Alabama we're talking about
