"I don’t like Russia or Putin, but I’m sick of seeing the U.S. pay to keep Ukraine going. Ukraine isn’t our responsibility. We have enough problems at home that need our attention and resources."
I get this point of view, and it is a common one. I don't think I agree with this more isolationist perspective, if no other reason than I think it hurts our bargaining power with Russia to end this dreadful war. Trump seems to be trying to increase his bargaining power with Z, but why? Z has little bargaining power as it is. I hope the message delivered privately to Putin is stronger than it has been thus far.
In any case, it is clear in going through this thread that while your position is more common, there are also a fair number of Putin apologists, if not downright fans ("saving Western culture," fighting "Global Homo," etc.).

Its safe to say, based upon your comments on this thread and previous, that the information you consume calls Trump a dictator.
Again, wrong.

What about his political opponents that were imprisoned/killed? How is elections going to fix that? What about the journalists that were murdered?
Do we have any legit sourcing on this? I can't comment because I don't really know enough about these claims.

bullshite straw man question.
Most aren’t “pro Russia”. We’re pro peace and don’t want to dust up Cold War 2.0 to basically benefit a bunch of oligarchs and grifters at the expense of trillions of US dollars and Ukrainian lives.
NTM trying to pick a fight with a nuclear power.
Ever wonder why the media never shows or reports on anything Putin says regarding all of these conflicts? You only get the approved message.

How is Yanukovych unilaterally rejecting EU integration "picking a fight with a nuclear power?"

What? It has nothing to do with it. Ukraine trying to join NATO absolutely is though. Putin drew a line in the sand about Ukraine trying to join NATO and Ukraine crossed it. The only way Ukraine can realistically win this war is for US troops to be deployed. That would certainly qualify as "picking a fight with a nuclear power".

The act started this whole conflict in late 2013.

That's why Russia flexed on Yanukovych in 2013 and then invaded to take Crimea in 2014? NATO?

Ukraine can't beat Russia in a long war. IMHO, Ukraine has lost the war.
Correct. And if Putin was getting dominated, he would use more extreme measures to ensure his side is maintained.
And I don't think Globalists are dumb enough to believe they could defeat and conquer Russia.
It's all about $$$$

Right. I have no love for Russia.
We all know Ukraine cannot win without US boots on the ground. The war needs to be stopped prior to this happening.
They funny part, is the people who are the most ardent Ukraine supporters and want us to keep funding the war are those who usually cry about "US Hegemony."

OP with gay name thinks we care about his opinion.
We don't.
His framing is gay, much like his perv uncle who turned him.

More like NATO crossed the line, not necessarily Ukraine.
Posted on 2/20/25 at 11:36 am to SlowFlowPro
I was referring to the public shite talking of Putin over the last 10 years, blaming him for everything, cozying up with Ukraine and then eventually funding and arming them to get in a hot war with Russia….including them actually going into Russia itself.

They are not so much pro Russia as anti-Ukraine
Posted on 2/20/25 at 4:42 pm to Grinder
They are not. They are anti bullshite. Zelensky is a fascist dictator. He outlawed the private press. He imprisoned political opponents. He literally has outspoken nazis in his cabinet. He helped start the war.
No one supports Putin, but he has a few points about breaking the NATO treaty and Zelensky attacking his own people who were pro Russia.
