It’s the principle of the thing. An old saying. Understand it?

If his nomination is pulled and Trump taps someone else, it would take 3 months to go through the same vetting process for the next candidate.

The goal (for Democrats) was to delay any confirmation until after the midterms in hopes of the Democrats taking the Senate and blocking every Trump nominee for 2 years.

Stick with Kav and vote next week.

Didn’t read all of that because headline says it all. Moving on is the same as admitting defeat and it is caving to the garbage Dems. It will prove to them these tactics work and this crap will never end.

They are the bully that won’t stop until you punch em back.

Why doesn't the GOP just move on from Kav?

Because it has nothing to do with Kavanaugh.

The Ds are going to resist any constutionalist.

Again. WILL NOT MATTER. See: Thomas, Clarence.

Also go watch the Amy Coney Barrett hearings...they ripped her all the same.

Democrats HATE the constitution. They want their ACTIVIST judges on the bench, not judges who simply follow the constitution.

Oh boy, you're about to get lambasted and deservedly so.

You don't back down to these type of threats from the Dems in any way or else you open the door to this type of allegation with every candidate for every position.

And time is not running out unless you're talking Dems gaining the senate at midterms, that's a commonly believed myth for some reason.

Because giving up on Kav shows the Dems that they can use this strategy of character assassination on other people to achieve their desired results. Giving up on him would excite the Dem voter base going into midterms while demoralizing GOP voters who once again witness the GOP being played for fools by Dems

Why don't we just do this every time there's a supreme court nominee or a competitive seat in congress?

Because thats exactly what you are asking for.

That is the kinda roll over bs that people are so used to that they freak out when Trump and others actually fight back. Kav fought back and you see all of the pearl clutching the dems and fems have done since.

Wrong.

The GOP already did this when they gave up on Roy Moore

If I'm Trump I get a list of 8 potential nominees and then ask the FBI to conduct thorough TS/SCI background checks on each of them

The eff bee eye did 6 background checks on Kav. He was so squeaky clean that he handled highly classified Top Secret issues for prez Bush.
None of this nonsense was revealed during those investigations. the dems will have people in waiting to parade out for your 8 nominees. They will check out exceptionally clean, but the dems will have someone from their kindergarten class say that the nominees pushed them down on the playground.
The dems will call for an investigation into this matter, and other kids will allege that the nominee pushed them down on the playground too, and more than one time.
The dems are asking the eff bee eye to investigate a high school incident over 35 years ago.
No prosecutor will take any case when the accuser can not reveal the time and place the incident occurred.
You hit my car and caused a large dent? Where did this happen? I don't remember. When did this happen? I don't remember.
Really? No person in the US should stand for allowing a person to accuse anyone of wrongdoing if they can't provide critical details like time and place.
This is how the accused defends themselves. I was in Europe the time you claim I hit your car; therefore, it was not me.

The unfortunate truth is Roy Moore wasnt worth fighting for. You have to pick your battles. On principle I wouldve liked them to fight back for him but this is bigger. Jones will be gone in two years. Kav is a lifetime appointment. It is also a bigger stage to fight on.

Why don't you cut off your head and attempt to talk to it, to be the first person to document an out of body experiment, and tell us how it goes?
