All Trump is doing is enforcing the law on the books, which happens to be his job.

Congress makes the laws. This is their fault.

Because there is no law that requires separation of minors from their parents at the border.

Because politically, they've got nothing else.

They're using these kids as political pawns.

Congress no longer legislates, they have essentially ceded that responsibility because it has been politically expedient to do so.

There are two bills that have been proposed. One, by Cruz, which fixes the issue. Another by Feinstein, that makes it illegal for the feds to arrest any parent with their child for anything in 2/3rds of the US.

Are you ignorant of the fact an alien illegally entering can stipulate to removal and almost immediately be processed? You are either ignorant....again....or you don't care because you are easily manipulated.

You mean at port of entry? Illegally crossing the border is a crime and when detained you have to find out who is who. We dont know who these people are or whos kids are there.

The law is being enforced. All illegals are now being prosecuted (as the law allows). As Sessions said, this is why more children are being separated (their parents are under arrest). The law has always allowed these people to be prosecuted, but Obama rarely enforced it. His policy was catch and release - that is, catch them and just release them back into Mexico.

If Congress wants to stipulate in legislation that children are to be held in adult holding facilities, so be it. But the law as written now does not require it. In fact, it's safer for the children NOT to be held with a bunch of adults.

There is no law against crossing the border and seeking political asylum. All people who have done it in the past have been detained but not charged with a crime because it is against international law to do so. They ar either granted asylum or tossed back across the border or returned their home nation. This is Trump policy and the entire GOP is complicit. If it isn't bad policy why is Trump and his supporters trying to convince people it ain't Trump? Why not own it?

Crossing the border and seeking political asylum are two different things. If they apply for political asylum they are not detained or seperated. They are not applying, though. They're just sneaking in. Hey, I'll give you $50 if you sneak southward across the Mexican border. Think they'll embrace you and set you up at the expense of the Mexican taxpayer?

You could clear up about three days of arguments by producing a credible source stating so. Go ahead. We'll wait. If not, shutting the frick up would be your only other option.

Why the frick are they even afforded due process? They're not citizens. All bets are off. Slap a stamp on their foreheads and send them back.

Because Democrats need something to run on for the midterms and know the fake media will carry their water for them.

There is...the adult is detained for breaking the law...
It comes with 3-5 or kicking them out which takes a judge...

Again, I don't see the benefit in wasting from time putting the adult invaders in front of a judge. The Constitution does not apply to them.
