This same group of people celebrates figures like Muhammad Ali for doing the exact same thing.
Weren't they causing all kinds of riots stateside in protest of that war?

Ali didn't dodge. Doesn't mean you have to agree with what he did, but it's not dodging.
He just straight up refused to go and was ready to accept the consequences of doing so if he lost his case in court. His was a political protest.
He didn't try to get deferred or claim some BS medical exemption or run away to Canada or have someone high up pull strings for him. That's dodging.

It would be reasonable criticism if Trump was a war hawk but he clearly isn’t so it’s just typical Dem venom.
My uncle volunteered for two tours as a medic and I’m amazed at his courage.
But I don’t fault anyone for doing whatever they could to avoid that bullshite war.

I can’t image being a parent or a kid between 1964-1975. Wondering if your child will be selected. Will your child want to serve their country knowing they would go.
