Were there Trump supporters there who committed some crimes, albeit mostly minor, and should they be prosecuted accordingly? Sure, I don’t know many who think otherwise.

There are some crazy people on the fringes of both sides. Which is another reason we need a third party - call it the ethical party, or one that focuses taking every issues and working toward compromise.

Seems to me fear is the most powerful human emotion there is, and this is what's behind the Left's neverending stream of "existential threats." Cops hunting blacks, climate change, 1/6, Covid - all designed to scare the shite out of the dumb and/or weak, and all those folks fall in line to support their bullshite agenda. And to explain "dumb or weak" - dumb is obvious, but there are a lot of really smart people that buy into this bullshite because they are weak. Weak-minded and weak-willed. I know guys with weighty PhDs, seriously smart guys - that are so afraid of Covid it's insane, but when I think back to growing up with them there's a commonality - they were the biggest pussies imaginable. They could not compete athletically (even though one was blessed with size/power), and they were the first ones to accept that they were pussies.
So I think all this fearmongering is simply to gain and keep supporters, who overwhelmingly tend to be either stupid or weak, or both.
