Why does the cake baker allow gay couples to buy his premade cakes?

This is what I don't get...He makes cakes ahead of time that can be bought for any type of couple, gay or straight. But he refuses to create one when requested by a gay couple. Why does he care so much about his "speech" when being requested to make a cake by a gay couple but doesn't care about it when he's making a cake that could be potentially bought by a gay couple? On one hand, he's willfully making cakes to be bought by anyone, and on the other, is unwilling to make one for gay couples.

Do you run into Circle K and tell everyone you have the Gheys when you get gas?

I don't think they have an issue with selling to gays. They simply don't wish to make a cake celebrating a gay wedding.

That's how I understand the issue. Perhaps there is more.

Because it isn't a customized service when you walk into a retail location and buy a generic item.

This. I don't understand why it's necessary for some people to advertise every aspect of their personal lives. If you want the damn cake, just keep your trap shut for 10 seconds.

You cannot be this fricking stupid, can you? He didn't want to make them a cake celebrating their gay marriage. He offered to sell them any other generic cake in his shop.

What kind of cakes he bakes and to whom he does or doesn’t sell them is none of your ducking budiness and it certainly isn’t any of the government’s business. If you believe otherwise you hate freedom and liberty and equality.

Talking about who you are going to marry is a regularly discussed aspect of someones personal life.

Ask me how I know you never took a logic class. Or used logic.

Why does it matter? He's making cakes ahead of time and customizing them to something that he likes, then selling them to anyone. What if he was out of one of his store ready cakes and the couple just asked him to make the same cake? I know that's not what happened here, but I feel that he would still refuse to do it.

Irrelevant to this discussion. The cake issue has absolutely nothing to do with gay rights. The two aren’t even remotely related. The only thing at isssue here is private property rights. End of discussion

Chill out people. I never said he should or shouldn't do something. Just questioning his logic.

Because those are just standard cakes. He's not having to bake a cake to their design standards with wieners touching/crossing each other or whatever else.

Why? He’s under no obligation to explain his logic to anyone.

He's already baked cakes celebrating gay marriage if he baked them under the premise that gay couples could buy them.

I believe the bakery owners are on record as sayin they would sell the gay couple any cake in the store and they could then decorate it as they choose.

FFS. Just trying to have a discussion. Obviously I'm not asking the dude to explain himself. Get out if you don't want to participate.
