There are lots of people who were or are in "they both suck" mode, as well as the good ol' "undecided voters." The debate disaster plus the assassination attempt very likely is going to move some of those people towards Trump. Plus some voters are just going to say "he's got balls, to get shot, get up, and shake his fist. He's cool." There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of people who think on that level, and some of them vote.

There are always fence sitters. You're focused on people that have their mind made up, one way or another. This is the type of thing that can influence a fence sitter to vote against these radical leftists. And that means a vote for Trump.
I didn't really think there was any way for the left to win without another steal, to be honest. But maybe this seals the deal. God knows what will happen, and that's what's important.

For starters people like Elon Musk came out with a full support and endorsement of Trump now. If that was the only person this affected that would be massive but I doubt it was.
Could be a good bit of rhinos who were still considering sitting at home, voting RFK jr. or maybe voting Trump sitting screw if I in for Trump now.
If the indictments did for Trump what they did with shift in polls and momentum and donations you don’t see how something like today could be a similar event horizon?

The president is supposed to be a protector of the American people. When people look for a protector they look for strength, not weakness. Forgive me, but you don't really know how the world works. Many people out there don't eat sleep and breath this shite like we do. Many have never been on a message board or had one strong feeling about either Trump or Biden.
Not everyone is MAGA, liberal or conservative. Most people pay little attention at all. And these are the sort of the people that can only be reached by some deep, visceral occurrence.
Trust me. It moves the needle for those sort of people. That's why there is so much blood and violence in our movies and entertainment.
