Why do you believe life begins at conception?

The Bible is definite with regards to Adam. His life began not when his body was created, but when he drew his first breath. The Bible also has several other mentions of birth and prebirth, but is ambiguous at best in these instances. One of which refers to god knowing us before conception, yet I know of no one who makes this claim.
The equal and opposite state of conception is some point of decay, the degree of which is unimportant. And logic dictates that if life begins at conception then it should end at the opposite state, yet no one believes this.
Medically, life ends when the heart, and breathing stops. The equal and opposite state for this, logically, would be when the heart begins to beat. How do you know, for a fact, that life doesn’t begin with the heartbeat?
I’m not asking you to change what you believe or to supportabortion; I don’t know anyone who does. But why is it so difficult to respect others’ philosophies of life and allow them to make decisions based on their own set of beliefs?

Nobody will deny that the cells are alive. Alive as in “life”.
You said in your post that God knew us before we were born. What other meaning does that have for you? It’s clear to me.

How can something be alive without a soul to operate it?
Like saying a car can start on its own. A baby moving in the womb is doing it how again? I swear my mom said I kicked the shite out of her and even stood up in the womb when she was sleeping freaking her out... I guess those were all nerves though lol

Because it does. Is this even debatable??? Have you ever felt a baby kick while in the mothers womb? Is it not alive? Is it a dog and not human at that point in its life?
If it is not alive how do you poison it to death in he womb to have an abortion? Yes I know that some abortion are performed by cutting the baby into little pieces.

I'm pro choice, but I'm well aware of what is happening there. I don't know why it is so hard for these groups to just admit what is going on here.

So, irresponsible (stating it mildly) people should be allowed to create children (as a by-product of their animal instincts) who they subsequently immorally raise, and therein make moral demands on responsible (productive/responsible) people to pay for their children...and all because they have the freedom to "make decisions based on their own set of beliefs"? Worse than merely philosophically immoral...Societally suicidal. Neither Mother Nature or God smiles on this one.

The bible doesnt say that you have a soul, the bible says that you ARE a soul.
Therefore, conception of life IS conception of a soul, abortion IS murdering a soul.

It has nothing to do with the Bible, and nothing to do with fun little classroom philosophical logic exercises. It's science. This isn't the 1850s any longer. Don't continue to be the clod who needs to see arms and legs move to believe one is a living human. We know better and have evolved. The zygote is alive and will in brief time develop into a human.
