Why do we allow politicians to blatantly lie to us?

They make a small percentage of people very wealthy and our electoral system is a joke. That's why.

It’s our US Attorneys and federal judges that allow it. The systems in place to protect us from our government are corrupt.

Like when they told us "wait we forgot, there was actually 3 balloons under the trump administration"

A “democracy”, work with me, needs the input of the people. They need to make informed decisions about the people they elect to run the country. Look at the people around you. Just a quick survey is all the proof you need that there has to be some sort of reasonable test to prove you are capable of making an informed vote. Preference aside, you have to at least understand what you’re doing.

Retards believe them.

Why wouldn't they lie?

1) the majority of people aren’t even paying attention to what is going on.

2) some people know what’s going on but realize they’re all liars and that elections are basically a choice for 1 of 2 candidates.

3) who is going to police/enforce this? Other politicians who also lied to get in those positions?

Tradition, mostly. Plus we the electorate like it that way because if we all faced the reality of our circumstances we would probably spend most of our time in the bathroom alternately sitting on the pot and hugging the porcelain God.

People are conditioned and expect politicians to behave a certain way. I'm seeing it firsthand now.

When your candidates are selected and financed by large corporations dependent of federal spending, does an informed vote really matter? We’re losing before the campaigning starts.
