Reappropriating some police funding is not an idea that originated with the BLM organization. Many people want some calls handled by trained professionals in a particular field. It's better for police and the community.
What century-old ideas of self defense are being questioned?

Cities used to be unique and exciting places to visit. Now many are bland and lifeless dumps. It is depressing to consider.

I feel strongly about paying restitution for what happened hundreds of years ago. I want to make sure they all get their fair share. How can they get a share if they are being killed daily?

Because I live in a city with high black on black crime and don’t want to get caught in the crossfire. There was a shooting in BR yesterday at 3:30 in the afternoon at a place I drive by on my way home from work nearly every day. Crime is one of the three biggest deterrents for investment in communities, and I want my community to thrive.

For decades white America made a desperate attempt to raise blacks to the level of the First World. It didn’t work for the majority (thankfully it did for some).
Now that blacks are in charge of large cities and schools, I eagerly await their solutions for their problems. I hope it works out.

If everyone is honest, no one cares. Black people have every opportunity white people have to get ahead in life.. sadly only a small percentage care to put in the work it takes to get there. The majority of blacks live in a completely different world than white people. Go in their neighborhoods, go to housing projects and look for yourself, and hope you dont get shot.. (i’m not telling you what i think, i’m telling you what i know)

Why in the world would they "not care?"
Horrible crime rates ultimately affect everyone no matter what the race. It destroys families,ruins neighborhoods and is horrible for the economy (micro and macro)

I don't think things will change simply because blacks are in certain positions. Just because they are black does not mean they have the best interest of black people at heart. Some blacks in positions of power have been absolutely terrible for the people they lead.
