What’s the deadweight loss. Ie the administrative cost to tax my earnings and then redistribute them back to me? Can I just earn my 130,000 and buy my fishing boat without having to pay 70 different taxes so 25 beuracrats can have a job deciding where my above median income should be redistributed?

Why do you pretend to be a heterosexual and to be married to an actual woman?

Most people I know making less than 250k noticed an immediate difference on thier paycheck after the tax cuts.

And we're not even to tax return season with the 20k deduction...which will give the poors even more pocket money.

So what the hell are you even talking about?

What you described is middle class.

People in the middle class do better under republican policies.

When the “top bracket” is taken care of, the more people they employ. I put top bracket in quotations because small business does better under republicans and they’re nowhere near the 1% that you’re implying gets all the benefit.

And why should I not want top earners to be taxed 50% plus? It's their damn money to begin with.

Would I rather them give the gov that money or put it back into the economy, which is exactly what is happening?

I am in that top bracket and I vote R because of a million OTHER reasons...In fact, I still think I pay way more than my fair share in taxes regardless of R policies. Immigration, military defense, defense of the constitution, fiscal responsibility and mostly because libs are mental misfits, and too unstable to run this Country, keeps me voting on the Conservative side. I am a registered I tho.

So you supported the man working against your own pocketbook. Got it. That's the entire fricking point of this thread.

But hey, at least you can still tell ole Jim Bob you're a republican...a MAN'S MAN...MAGA bitch!

You still haven't described how the top earners paying less races hurts me as an upper middle classer

Like you get across the idea that you obviously make good money because you vote republican instead of just sharing your income?

If you truly want to help the poor giving money to the government to do it is the least efficient charity vehicle there is. Giving a dollar to a local church is the equivalent of giving hundreds to the government.

One of the biggest misconceptions of liberals is this whole "socialist" thing

The dims have been pretty clear on their agenda. The whole premise of forcibly taking property from those that have assets to redistribute wealth to the poor is socialism.

I’ll make it really simple for you. There are two types of economic systems. Ones with greedy private citizens and ones with greedy governments. If you dislike greedy corporations or private citizens you can choose to protest or shop elsewhere/boycott with no recourse. If you choose to stop funding the government men with guns show up to your house and place you in a cage and sell your assets. Which seems more fair to your average citizen?

By the way the former results in the fluid transfer of wealth. Meaning at anytime someone can remove themselves from one economic bracket and appear elsewhere freely. When wealth is controlled by the government, economic mobility is only awarded by the government regardless of merit.

In the case of my self-employed father, Obamacare hit him with an additional $17,000 in healthcare premiums annually. For a worse plan.

He makes less than your $250k threshold.

Your father and I are in almost the exact same place.

Before Obama Care I paid $680 a month for Family Coverage.

Now I pay $1460 a month

Because Obama only wanted to extend the Bush tax cuts for bottom 95% of earners.

Do you not realize that the bottom 45% of earners actually pay ZERO income tax?

Its one of the main reasons that TAX cuts aren't a big deal to half the population.
They aren't paying it already.

The OP's worldview is actually more than just stupid, it is fundamentally dangerous.

Voting solely for your financial self-interest, while ignoring everything else, opens the door to all kinds of potential abuses against minority groups, whether ethnic, class-based, etc, in the name of "self interest"

The OP favors two wolves and a sheep voting on whats for dinner.

Why do you want to punish success? Because I don’t believe in that. But Democrats do, and I’ll never vote for them. At least Republicans will give us a tax cut occasionally. I think all of us should pay less taxes.

If I had my way, we would go to the Fair Tax. Get rid of the IRS, get to bring home your whole paycheck and not have the Government borrow money from you - interest free, every time you get paid.

Why won’t either of you two butt buddies answer what was wrong with the southerners supporting slavery? It was in their own self interest to do so. See, that was another time republicans went against their own self interest for the greater good.
