Biden is the only democrat Trump can beat. Everyone knows it whether they admit it or not. And everyone saw this coming and stuck their head in the sand anyway

There's probably an element of truth to that, but that doesn't mitigate the danger of having an enfeebled CINC and Executive.

Oh, I agree..

Just dont think Joe has his finger on the pulse much anymore. They probably shoot him full of amphetamines to keep him moving.

Couple few months ago it was the widely accepted belief that Biden was the sole Democrat who could beat Trump. In fact they were so certain that, as the story goes, the Democrats were proactively working to increase Trump’s odds of becoming the Republican nominee. So as we can see, the viewpoints on that are rather inconsistent and unreliable.

I think a Trump-Kamala race would be one for the ages myself.

The debates might be things we show our great grandkids for entertainment.

Biden needs to be removed from office NOW. This is stupid. This is an existential crisis for our country. Do you have any sense of the damage that he can do between now and January?

If they removed him from office, it wouldn't change anything about their agenda.

Uh, that would be everyone. Hell, there are women on The View who fit that requirement.

This is right. He's not making the decisions now.

I don't want him replaced. He has bad numbers and his mental capacity will keep him from debates.
If he is replaced, the Dems win. It will be a fresh face that is liked by the dems in general. The turnout for Dems will instantly go up because they will be motivated to vote against Trump and get the new person over the line. The dems will be rejuvenated with a replacement candidate.
Independents will even be drawn to the replacement because they don't like Trump but the state of affairs they were begrudgingly going to vote for him.

Lithium,
Kamala will not be the nominee. She couldn't pull 2% in 2020 and was the first to drop out. They put her in VP so that she knows she was put there and has no say and is controlled. No way the dems run with her. It has to be somebody that will rejuvenate the party and sway independents back to their tent. She does none of that.

Agree..as a dem, I'd much prefer Gavin Newsome or a younger, more up and comer, but honestly not sure right now it changes any states lean. All I know is Trump is the easiest candidate to beat and Biden will likely win since he probably will carry most of the swing states he carried in 20. Even if he lost 2 of the 5, he still wins. Just about any other republican candidate wins those swing states except Trump. You are putting forward the worst possible candidate for republicans and republican values, which is why so many traditional republican's will be voting for Biden

Hot take maybe, but I don't think Newsome would be as bad as Biden.

Newsom would 100% be worse than Biden. He's not cognitively impaired and would actually follow through on the crazy shite that his party wants. If Newsom is the nominee, he'd landslide Trump.

So you believe union husbands and wives in Pennsylvania and elsewhere throughout the midwest, and blacks in Virginia and Georgia etc etc would be allured by Newsom, even in spite of all the California things that would be pointed out to them over and over?

You have this a little backwards, davy.

Democrats were working to get Trump the primary because regardless of who their nominee was, there chances were best opposite Trump - because Trump is good for their fundraising and turnout. Biden didn't figure into that equation at all.

Maybe I’m mistaken but the way I remember it was that the reason Biden’s in the White House to even begin with was because a determination was made that he was the best candidate to match up against Trump from the get go. So if that was the case when this all started in 2020 I don’t see why it wouldn’t remain the thought process today.

Yes. They hate Trump. If they held their noses and voted for a dementia patient then they'll vote for a Democrat who isn't cognitively impaired if Trump is the Republican nominee.

I'm not sure what you're arguing here, davy. I think Biden was a disaster in 2020, but he's off the charts ridiculous as the nominee in '24 for obvious reasons.

But my post was about your suggestion that some (like me) argue that Dems wanted Trump in the general. That argument has nothing to do with Biden or any other Dem. It has to do with Trump being passionately hated on the Left so he's good for Dem fundraising and turnout. They didn't want Trump in the general because of the unique match-up of Trump v. Biden.

Hillary is coordinating the Biden ambush so that she gets one more chance to have “her turn”… fortunately, she is possibly the only politician with a national profile who would be easier for Trump to beat than Biden
