Look we agree, that it comes down to personal responsibility. But with more obstacles to overcome, come higher probabilities of failure, it's that simple.

It's called making excuses for your own failures. You have a choice:
a. I fail because I'm a loser.
b. I fail because of institutional racism.

This will be a flawed analogy but here goes...

Imagine being a married man trying to be faithfull working at a strip club as a last resort for income.

Yeah, it's up to you to be responsible, but let's not pretend it's easier to stay faithful than someone out on an oil rig.

Here's the kind of poster you are:

https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/display.aspx?sp=84771214&s=2&p=84770764#84771214

You are too smug to admit when you can't answer a question, so you pretend your audience is too stupid to understand the nuance of your point anyway.

So in true liberal fashion, you love to pose the "oh yea? name them!" to other people when you have 0 inclination to ever do it for someone else.

And for that reason, I will not. Everyone here knows you defend alt-left idea tooth and nail.

Yeah, not the best analogy but I see where you were going with it. We are going to have mess ups, we're human. Some will do better than others but in the end it all falls back on that individual.

and yes, some have it easier than others, no doubt.

Accepting this virtuous outlook from an individual perspective does not refute the existence of institutional racism.

It’s clear to me that when people hear the term, they feel accused of individual, overt/covert racism. I can’t speak for others, but when i use the term, it is in no way an accusation that any individual—or organization, for that matter—is presently guilty of racist acts.

How do you explain the Asians? Were they brought here as coolies flourish? Why? Were they actively promoted by govt? Did they get TRILLIONS of wealth creation from Yellow Privilege?

So do we hand people the money that they were prevented from making.
I wouldn't mind seeing elderly blacks who were affected receive some kind of late-in-life support (i.e. medical, etc.)

For everything else, I'd take just ending the War on Drugs and doing serious remediation of lead in the soil.

So how exactly do you define institutional racism, then?

God I love pompous little pricks like this. Don't project your feelings on everyone else, buttercup. Just because you feel that way doesn't mean anyone else does. Jeez, what a moron.

I disagree with monetary reparations. But i'm all for acknowledging the slight and looking for other ways to minimize the impact of slavery and jim crow.
