So are murder convictions an example of institutionalized racism in the justice system?
upgrayedd and I had a lengthy and cordial exchange--all your questions should be answered there.

That's literally the dumbest thing I've ever read on the internet. Congratulations.

too put it simply: trying to retain the black vote

Which policy on the books are you referring to?
Affirmative action, diversity quotas, university policies of race-based admissions.

You’re not answering any questions. You’re just saying “on the one hand” and “on the other hand.”

Affirmative action is the only widespread "institutional racism" currently ongoing.

That’s a hell of a jump. Not doing as well to it must be racism. Many black intellectuals believe that LBJ’s great society destroyed black society far more than Jim Crow. (Thomas Sowel, Larry Elder,Candice Owens )
Many people would rather get a check than work so so jobs. Most of the insulators on my job in Exxon speak little English. They are making $38/hr. Don’t think the company cares who as long as the are dependable and capable. Racism my arse.
Got busy at work and cutting grass should have hit submit earlier.

Affirmative action, diversity quotas, university policies of race-based admissions.
Or admit that you don’t know what you’re talking about, which you may do by failing to cite anything.

You support equality of outcome. Those policies attempt to achieve that. This isn't difficult.

There's a fine line between a) policy designed to even the playing field along the racial divide and b) butt-fricking socialism.
You're endorsing "evening the playing field". You've already admitted that there's already equality of opportunity, it's just that pesky outcome that gets in the way of equality.

ETA: I've not endorsed a single policy in this thread. I've shat on LBJ, but that's the only stance on any policy I've taken. The R word triggers the frick out of some of y'all.

If you want the simple answer then...
It’s because they(Democrats) remember when they fought to add the 3/5ths rule to the US Constitution

The left loves to make people believe in problems that only they can solve through major government programs.
