What other sins are some young “Christians” trying to modernize into being acceptable?
Stealing? No
Lying? No
Rape? No
Murder? No
Homosexuality? Yes.
That’s why.

I don’t understand it, aside from a hardline literal interpretation of select biblical passages.
What if homosexuality is a genetic defense mechanism to protect against overpopulation?
Seems like a better solution than arguing about morality while the globalists are plotting to murder billions of people.
Is there any proof that the above theory is wrong? Is it possible for God to change his mind based on changing circumstances?
We are supposedly made in His likeness/image, and we are able to change our views in lieu of changing circumstances.
Just food for thought. I have no opinion on the subject.

The burden of proof is always on the claimant.
No one has to prove a negative.
Seriously...you don't know this??

Don't blame this entirely on young Christians. Mainline protestantism hasn't been killed off by millennials.

Why would you bother asking hypocrites to explain his/her self?

so gays and drunks are pretty much reviewed.
how would you compare lying as a sin with gay / drunk. folks get embarrassed by gay / drunk situations. does anyone get embarrassed by lying any more. bearing false witness is pretty well called out in 10 commandment. drunk is not, gay maybe as a prohibition about being into another spouse.

quote:Christian antipathy toward gays tends to pre-date the recent cultural acceptance ... by almost two millennia.
It is probably because they believe it is the only sin that they see as being put on a pedestal as good, wholesome, and worthy of promoting at every turn through movie, entertainment, and all other aspects of everyday life.

The irony is the overlooked rampant pedophilia among Christians not just in this country, but worldwide.

There is no theological movement to accept pedophilia in any element of Christianity that I'm aware of.

I would think a lot of church goers would ask the reverse. Why do gays get so worked up over churches?
It cuts both ways

You think pedophilia is more rampant among Christians than other groups? (Muslims, Atheists, etc.)

Our local catholic school fired two teachers mid-year, one because of the gay, and the other for having a child and living with the baby daddy, who she was not married to.
One of the replacements was then fired, after it was realized that the replacement also had a baby and was living with the baby daddy, out of wedlock (with a wedding scheduled for later this year).
In all three situations, it was a group of parents who "busted" the teachers, and turned them in to the school admin / pastor, who removed them.
We hear it all the time, the church is the people. Certain people get worked up about certain church teachings more than other teachings (and other church members)

Because a number of gays believe in God and believe in Heaven and in most of the Church's other teachings.
It seems that man has created a "hierarchy" of sins that can't be found anywhere in the Bible.
I don't believe being gay rises to the level of a mortal sin.
Look, if all of our church leaders were pious individuals then maybe i could get it. But they aren't... and many of them do things much more offensive than sleep with another adult male.
It's hard for me to believe that God is ok with a pastor using God's name to earn millions of dollars and own jets, but God isn't ok with a gay priest.

I don’t think they do! Do you think a Christian church should sanction gay marriage?

I am saying homosexuality is a sin just like lots of other things are so why are those things just forgotten about so much?
I guess the question is...why does this bother you?? Is it hitting close to home or something?

My guess is that homosexuality grosses them out more or, in some cases, is the very thing they don’t want to admit about themselves.
Dumbest post of the day!

Fair enough, but it wasn't stated as a belief, it was expressed as a fact.
