Why didn’t boomers care about the invasion before 2016?

Were they too busy hiring their illegal housekeepers and laborers? Now that Houston went from 85% white to 20% white, they suddenly have a problem. It’s too late and it’s their fault for being Dubya republicans

Edit: this map is from 2010. Much worse now

We did. We kept voting in Republicans that said they were going to fix but then came up with every excuse in the book to not fix it.

After getting screwed over a few cycles we decided to vote for somebody that would at least try to fix it. How ironic Trump was stopped by his own party in 2016 when we had majorities in the House and Senate.

We did, but were ignored by people like John McCain and George W. Bush.

Because Boomers have only ever cared about themselves

Why do you think most every Vietnam Vet describes themselves as Vietnam Vets as opposed to describing themselves as Boomers? It's because the rest of their generation isn't worth shite.

They're the first generation to hand off this nation in worse shape than they inherited it

This is correct. I hate to say this goes back to Ronald Regan, he caved on the border.

I remember immigration being a pretty big topic as far back as 2008.

I looked up a chart, something you trolls are too retarded to do.

Border Patrol Immigration Stats

Immigration trends strongly down when a republican is in charge of the Executive Branch, you know, the one responsible for Immigration enforcement.

Republicans have had this platform at least as long as I've been following politics.

“ Boomer “ conservatives have been arguing for border security consistently since Reagan. Chamber of Commerce Republicans have always lobbied for the cheap labor. If that’s your poorly written idea…

What are you even taking about?

Even Reagan tried to curtail it. But the democrats lied (of course) about closing the border after the amnesty.

You hear any republican pushback on the closed border after 9/11?

So tell us where you got your info from.

See now this is what I don’t understand about programmed drones. They download their commands, regurgitate it, and then get embarrassed. Over and over. But here is where you know they are stupid…… they run back to the same programming. It takes a true idiot to do that.

Which is a big reason the current Republican Party finds itself in its current state; their voters got tired of getting lied to about the border, among other things. They ran on fixing the border, but (as usual) came up with a myriad of excuses why they couldn't keep their promise.

Immigration was a huge deal when Reagan won during 1980.

Immigration was an issue for Reagan in 1986. It's always been an issue!

Exactly. I'm an Xer but I remember when Tip O'Neal tricked Nancy Reagan to use Ronald's hand to sign amnesty. Conservatives were pissed and California was lost in 4 short years. This is when alzheimer's was taking hold of Ronald.
