OP, so you took the Yahoo blogger at face value? Have not you not yet realized that they are for the most part extremely anti Trump? He spoke all during half time & had nothing but good things to say about the players & the members of both corps. He openly bragged about what great commanders they would all be. etc etc etc.

Not to mention the fact that the game had 7 turnovers.
Super Bowl V was (ostensibly) the two best teams in the game, yet it produced 11 turnovers and was so bad that it is still the only Super Bowl where the MVP came from the losing team.
You can have "bad football" from two good teams and it still not be an insult to the players. (And, I agree with an earlier post that Navy's ranking was a sentimental nod to a team that was not as good as its record implied.)
I would bet my next paycheck that if you polled the players of the teams, no more than 5% would think he insulted them.

The best thing about this is that Obama went to these games, and the cadets and midshipmen barely acknowledge him. When Trump goes, he gets a presidential ovation. (And he's not even the president yet.)
Then, in the interview, he says what everybody is already thinking about the quality of football, and nobody associated with the two universities even cared.
Trump has three former generals in his cabinet. Were any of them as butt hurt about his comments as some of these idiot SJW's?

Where are they ranked? (Navy is 25th. Dropped 6 spots after this game)
What is their W/L records? (Navy 9-3, Army 7-5 and won the game)
How many players will be drafted (Probably None. Military commitments are priority)
Why do they play this game so late in the year (because no one would watch them on a regular gameday?)
Other than a rivalry game, this is not the best football

I was watching the game. I took it off mute to hear Trump, because I couldn't wait to see how the media would spin his appearance at the game, along with the positive reception he got.
The game, up to that point, was brutally bad. There were I think 8 turnovers by that point. Trump came on after TO #8 if memory serves. So, no, that game was not the best football.

Yeah it was. It was a back up quarterback, who made all of 80 something yards passing in the game. They started with turnovers on the first two possessions.
