Aside from that, there were two punts, a fumble, and an interception.
Watching teams run the ball exclusively is boring unless they are dominating. Both teams did nothing but run the ball and it wasn't great football by any stretch of the imagination.

As far as the thread topic is concerned:
Trump says dumb shite all the time. This is nothing new.
He shouldn't have said it wasn't good quality football, as there was no reason to drop that subtle shot in the middle of the effusive praise he was giving servicemen.
That being said, it's ridiculous and nitpicking of the highest order to use those comments as an indictment of his feelings for servicemen. No would would allege, based on his anything he's said or done over the past 2 years, that he has negative feelings about servicemen or their abilities. So why do these comments even matter, if not to find yet another reason to aimlessly nitpick?
