I guess saving $10 is $10 while rich folks get that fat tax break.

You seem to be asking why some people aren't ate up by envy like you are. Is that right?

Yep. The wealthy get a large share of the cuts like always.

The poors are seal clapping about tips when they already have a large standard deduction to reduce their taxable income to virtually zero as is.

The poors were scammed and fleeced once again and think they won.

It's not going to be fair until everyone has the same!

Maybe they finally understand the concept of progressive tax systems and proportionality. Couple that with all the facts on how much FWA is included in the budget, people are starting to notice.

other possibility is they finally are tired of class warfare lies, since it has never ended up benefiting poors in anyway whatsoever.

The poors don’t pay into the system to begin with.

When you live on a fixed income like I do and get your SS check once a month $10 can go along way for food. When you have nothing at the end of the month and waiting for the check to hit that $10 helps out a lot.

What tax cut are you referring to? Do you mean continuing the tax brackets we’ve had for years? If so, that’s not a cut.

According to the dems, this bill has new tax cuts for the rich and increases spending by trillions.

Naturally the truth is the exact opposite of that. Maybe if OP asked "why are the poors supporting their taxes not being raised" he could answer his own question.

I never understood why the poor support tax cuts for the rich, especially those receiving federal aid. It is taking food out of their families' mouths. The rich do not need the extra money. It gives them the extra cash to unbolt the factory equipment and ship it overseas.

Hey dipshit, how will the bottom 50% get a tax cut when they PAY NO TAXES?

As always, they should vote themselves other peoples' money. That is the democrat way!

Yeah, the actual cuts are no tax on Tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on Social Security. Seems to me that helps the poor and middle class more than that helps the rich.

I'm not worried about them but the ultra wealthy definitely don't need tax cuts

here's the thing jethrine, in order to get a tax cut you have to pay taxes and the middle class hasn't paid any real income tax since the W bush administration. i'll take this slow for you. the conversation we're having now is do we keep the tax scheme we currently have which is heavily weighted to the middle class and has been in pace 8 1/2 years or do we go back to the tax scheme we had under obama. if we do that then the child tax credit goes back to $600 now $2000 and change the standard deduction from 30k today back to 12.6k, reinstate the individual exemption ($4000 per) and get rid of the cap on SALT

here's the thing aunt pearl the standard deduction and the individual exemption are indexed to inflation if we allow the trump tax cuts to expire they'll be indexed to 10 years of inflation that'll put the standard deduction at 17k and the individual exemption $5400. plus no cap on SALT i'll be able to itemize again! yes please!

the real conversation we should be having is that 67% of american's pay no income tax is that just and is it wise.

67% of american's like you have no skin in the game

You assume poor people want handouts funneled through a corrupt government…. Poor Americans don’t benefit regardless, but less is going to be wasted on foreign people.

The middle class encompasses more people than you think and many of them pay taxes

And payroll taxes are still taxes. We tend to only focus on federal income tax for some stupid reason and pretend payroll taxes don't exist
