I don't care about the conflict. Let them all burn each other to the ground. I do have a problem with activists thinking they're entitled to take over public areas and block others from living their lives because they want to endorse a shitty cause.

I think it’s more just that lawlessness tends to impact quality of life quite a bit. You would hope our institutions wouldn’t put up with anything more than normal civil protest but they seem to encourage this crazy shite quite often.

TLDR: I wish adults REALLY were in charge sometimes.

I agree. The protesters are entitled losers who frick up everything for everyone else

But here’s a thought, they would have no grounds for protesting if we didn’t fund every aspect of this bullshite. Why don’t we just, idk, not fund foreign wars?

Watching The Left consume itself is its own reward. What we should care about is the actual safety of students. Beyond that, let them discredit and destroy themselves.

“OK, I’ll vote for the giveaways as long as I get my cut. But the people who I’m fricking - the voters I promised not to frick - are gonna be mad as hell. I’m gonna need a distraction, Chuck”

“Fine. I’ll call George and get some students paid, and get the media focused. They’ll all fall for that distraction. If we can get somebody shot, we can get some more UkraineBucks while nobody’s watching”

“Works for me”

Because the left will figure out how to turn this into some kind of positive for them. As the Right is weak and wonder things like this.

In general I couldn't care less about them and let them eat themselves, but the underlying Anti-Christisn Americanism isn't being shut down either. In a decade people who aren't concerned with seeing/fighting the islamic push here will be wondering why they are hearing calls to prayer every morning in their once lily white Christian neighborhood.

One small positive is that we have on record that states/cities can shut "peaceful protests" turned riots and encampments down. Since I'm sure the left will use this tactic again to get the 2020 summer of love to pop off.

Definitely need to get back to no masks in public pte-covid laws, which is another thing the left got as the Right keep giving them an inch.

I do not revere these institutions one bit. I find it amusing to see these leftists cannibalize eachother at these Maoist education camps.

It's only like that because the Right sat on their hands while it was happening asking questions like...

Because it's a reflection of academia, and not just at the university level. Kids are being indoctrinated by the far left.

The Israel/Hamas protests are a symptom of a serious cancer.

It's not just Israel. These protesters hate America. It's a problem when a large section of the next generation outright hates the country they live in.

Well, we have 2020 to look at and from there we can extrapolate possible out comes. However, Northwestern caved to their protesters. Can you imagine what this could cause at other schools? What happens when they get what they want and move on to other targets. Starting to sound like 1939 Germany.

The students agreed to take down all but one of the nearly 100 tents erected on the school quad since Thursday.
In exchange, Northwestern has agreed to take several steps to expand student engagement in the school’s financial investments.

The protesters have demanded that the university divest from Israeli companies and cease partnerships with Israeli institutions.

Northwestern has also agreed to fund the tuition of five Palestinian undergraduates and hire two visiting Palestinian faculty members in addition to providing a temporary space on campus for Middle Eastern and Muslim students until their existing house finishes renovation.
