Why a modern civil war can never happen

One side not only owns the majority of the firearms but also the heavy weapons that would be vital in a large scale conflict.
Anti-tank weapons, howitzers, cannons, tanks, helicopters and heavy machine guns are all out there by the thousands and all legally owned.
Not to mention all of the ammo and firearms companies are heavily conservative leaning.
How would the leftists and soy boys compete? The US military would not side with them.
At this point a civil war could not happen. They do not have the equipment to even put up a fight. Their only hope would be to use tech money to pay someone to fight for them (foreign country)

You are sorta fooling yourself.
The Left has shown a willingness to violence and lawlessness that so far the Right doesn’t seem to possess. Plus urban warfare against any determined enemy is very difficult. They also mainly control the flow of information. And don’t forget many of the individuals on the Right don’t want to be told what to do by anyone.
It would definitely not be a cakewalk like some of you think.

It’s an interesting concept.
In 1861 we had an industrial north vs an agrarian south.
A lot of those dynamics have changed especially with Weatern expansion since then.

The people showing willingness to do violence are usually democrat thug types without a job or career and have nothing to lose by doing so. Also, if they are African American they have the protection of accusing racism when they are arrested refusing to comply or are retaliated against by a non black.
People that are law abiding citizens with families, careers, mortgages are going I be less likely to be out in the streets committing acts of violence or “going to war” so to speak with these idiot thugs.

I understand where you are coming from. But the truth is most Democrats don't want war. Your average Democrat or left-leaning person wants the following:
Freedom to live their life outside of Christian authoritarianism.
Freedom to have a more socialized form of health care for all ( I think this can be done at a state level).
Freedom to smoke whatever they want (Certain drugs should be deregulated, they are only banned because of bias in the early 20th century or protect corporate interests)
