Elián González grew up in Cuba, earned an engineering degree, and worked as an industrial engineer. In 2023, he was elected to the National Assembly of People's Power, representing Cárdenas, Cuba.

Interesting so the Cuba communist made sure he had a comfortable life too bad they don’t care about 98% of their population.

Hell, I'm old enough to remember the Mariel Boatlift.

I'm out. Y'all have a great day.

Fidel died with 400 million USD, the population has been half starved for decades, that embargo sure was well targeted.

That 100% cost Gore the election. Cubans in south FL were pissed.

Was going to post this. If this plays out differently, the world is different. There is no Bush presidency. Gore would have won FL.

I wonder what ever became of young Elian Gonzalez.

There were photos of him in the Cuban version of the "brown shirts" as a teenager.

When Janet Reno was appointed I came across her bio. She claimed to have been a H.S. debater. She seemed much too low IQ for that so I checked the Forensic League stats and her career point total was 33. That means she won 2 debates and lost 7. Then she quit before her first season was over (probably on her coach's advice).
