Are they actually combating or solving crime? There’s no real details about what they are actually doing.

I've said from the beginning that this is what the whole thing is about and I saw a video of Vance giving an interview about this in which he explicitly confirmed that theory.

I support Trump doing it in D.C. because he has the legal Constitutional authority to do so there. I also support Trump using the National Guard in any locale if necessary to protect ICE agents where the local officials will not follow and in fact attempt to impede the enforcement of federal law.

Beyond that it's a bad idea.

You would also be hard pressed to find individuals that reside in particular areas of cities burdened by excess crime and murder to oppose it.

Then why have the constantly voted for

Apparently residents of large cities. That’s their problem to fix. Sending in the US Army to take over our cities is not the answer.

This is what I am hoping for.

If we ever clean up voting laws, we may find that they really are not voting for this.

I mean, if I were a Democrat, I would be harvesting all the homeless votes in my city with a quickness. Plus I would be paying for retirement home farming. Everything we already know they do.

Not me. I want troops sent to surround these cities so no one can get in or out.

Unless you are exclusively beaming MSNBC straight into your a-hole, this is patently false.

Hell no.

You are not going to like it when the Dems are in charge and do their own version.

No. The “citizens” of shite hole cities get what they vote for. If they wanted it fixed, they would vote the Dems out!

Sorry, but the dims claim that these people aren’t smart enough to vote for themselves, so the dims are having to vote for them. If that’s the case, they can’t also say that the crime rate should be controlled by good politicians & policy voted in by those same stupid people. It’s a viscous cycle that will never end, and only get worse as the dims in charge slip farther and farther into reprobacy. Unless someone outside that cycle takes action to end it. So, yes, I am in favor of troops being used to stop people from murdering each other. I recognize that this good can and most likely will be attempted to use for evil in the future by those same dims who hate their power base being disrupted. BUT- you cannot fail to do what is right and good because you are living in fear of the revenge of truly evil people. It’s up to the rest of us to help keep good people with integrity elected and in office, to use the power given to them to NOT allow dim revenge to fall and look out for the good of the people.

I do, on the condition they're given free reign to shoot to kill.

If not, just back off and allow Cipolla's law to play out. They'll kill each other via gang banging.

I know you are completely satisfied with vague statements because they are accepted by you as confirmation of what you want to believe. But those numbers are essentially meaningless.

Who made the 1007 arrests and for what?

Are those people actually detained somewhere? On what crimes?

Who seized the guns and under what circumstances?
quote:

Last night, another 86 arrests including multiple suspects accused of assaulting law enforcement and National Guard

Are people actually attacking law enforcement and National Guard troops? Or are they just arresting anyone who says something they don't like? It sounds like the Guard troops are creating the interactions that result in many of the arrests. That does nothing to actually reduce crime.

President would have to declare an emergency under a few statutes. Absent a natural disaster he would have to most probably do it under the Insurrection Act under a provision that would hold that the municipality is not going to enforce federal law like Eisenhower in Little Rock or at the University of Alabama.

President can't wake up and say that he has a problem with how Mamdani or Bass in LA is handling the crime situation in their city. DC is a little different from others because of the Federal nature of the District. At most Trump could call in the NG to protect Federal buildings in other cities, but they would be confined to those areas.

Voluntarily asking for extra help during dedicated crowd focused major events and placing federal troops into cities as “peacekeepers” are very very different things.

In that instance, more than likely, local authorities asked for support from the Governor... It is typical for events where the population explodes over a week or so for that event then subsides...

I DO NOT support sending troops into the Dem shiteholes... They created these shiteholes and they should foot the bill for cleaning up what they created...

The Governor's of those states has the power to send in the NG under Title 32 status... Let them deal with it in that manner if it comes to that...

What I could see happening in a State like LA with a Republican governor is Trump offering to pay the bill and let the governor retain control under Title 32 to send the NG into a shitehole that needs cleaning up...

Not me.

DC is one thing. But we should not want the Feds sticking their noses in local issues unless absolutely necessary.
