For starters, I'm married to one. Secondly, I know dozens, personally. They will vote republican. They voted Kemp, with the heartbeat law and Jim Eagle and constitutional carry, they were fine with it. But they will not vote for Trump. I know they are stupid and wrong, but it is what it is.

If you don’t mind my asking, what was your wife’s approach in 2016, i.e. did she have same opinion of him at that time together with not voting for him? And same question regarding the others you referenced, to the extent you’re aware.

It's not false at all. Trump underperformed down-ballot Republicans in the majority of suburban counties, even in states he won. Heck, in the 10 largest counties in Texas he underperformed John Cornyn by over 100,000 votes.

By what legitimate and accurate method are exit polling statistics even compiled in a completely unprecedented election scenario involving such heavy use of mail in ballot voting?

This reality should scare the pants off Republican voters who are heckbent on choosing The Magnificent One as their standard bearer.

John Cornyn is at best tolerated in Texas; many of those same Cornyn voters actively despise the man, but still selected him over Democrat Mary Lou Hegar.

Hated him in 2016 too, but turnout was low because Hill-dawg was a shoe-in.

Yep. It gets even scarier though because it wasn't just Cornyn that he underperformed. In 8 of the 10 largest counties there were more than 10 other Republicans on the ballot that he underperformed. In the 3 largest counties (Harris, Dallas, Tarrant) he underperformed 29, 16, and 22 other state-wide Republicans respectfully. In Tarrant (Fort Worth) he was the only state-wide Republican who lost the county. Cornyn won that same county by 5%.

There were over 350K people in Texas who voted for at least 1 down-ballot Republican but not Trump. In 2016 that number was approximately 450K. For comparison, in 2012 there were fewer than 75K people in Texas who voted for at least 1 down-ballot Republican but not Mitt Romney. The political DNA of the state is still R +10-11. A Republican with minimal baggage who doesn't alienate suburban voters can still win by double-digits.

When OMB is the nominee will BDR voters sit out

100% they will, at least the ones posting at this site will, because deep down they are democrats, they even get all their talking points from DU

they dont even have a candidate, ron hasnt declared and he never will, and yet they still refuse to support trump

the average republican voter will support trump because he is the only choice thats out there that isnt going to be part of the uniparty.

there is a lot not to like about trump, mostly its just personality stuff people arent happy about, but none of it has anything to do with how he will run this country and improve everyones standard of living.

Polling is suggesting the opposite - it seems a large chunk of the Trumpet Babies can’t bring themselves to choose DeSantis if he’s the nominee.

How’s the head to head polling going?

All of the polls I've seen that have asked this question have either been around 50-50 or there have been more Trump supporters saying they won't vote for DeSantis if he's the nominee.

I think Trump's a piece of shite and a fricking loser but I'll vote for him as he's better than any Democrat. On Twitter, at least 95% of the people saying they won't vote if their guy isn't the nominee are Trump supporters.

Will be interesting to see who the pussies who aren't team players turn out to be. Hopefully there are none either way.

There is literally nothing Trump could have done in the last last few years to win them over. Most modern women, both working and not, are passionate about LGBT, BLM, abortions, gun control, etc. They’re soft on crime, immigration, and homelessness.

What this country has is 2 very distinct opposing parties that are more divided than ever with little to no chance of reconciliation.

Why didn’t the Democrat cheaters cheat for all of the other Democrat nominees?

This is false.

Brian Kemp, southern-drawl white man who signed the heartbeat bill, constitutional carry, Jim Eagle, first to open up after lockdowns with vocal criticism from Trump, campaigned on personally rounding up illegals in his pickup and taking them back to mexico, beat the absolute dogfrick out of his democrat challenger Stacy Abrams (two times), and it's because white suburban women like him. They don't like Trump.

You can try as you might to figure out the mind of a woman, good luck to you.

Those are good points, but you'd be surprised at the number of women that are open to voting Republican, provided that you have the right leader at the top of the ticket.

Youngkin won over many suburban wine and soccer moms who voted for Biden. Part of his campaign was focusing on indoctrinating children (CRT) in schools, which is a culture war issue. He succeeded and there were . DeSantis won the women vote in Florida against Charlie Crist 53-46 and only lost unmarried women by 1 point (50-49).

DeSantis and Kemp did ok with them. A conservative will probably never get a majority of them but they can make a dent. It all adds up in a close race.
