It has as much power as people individually give it.
Mostly it’s become a free pass to whip arse or destroy someone or something some people already hated.
I’m not a fan of it (racism)but the first amendment allows you to say whatever you want regardless of how unpopular it’s going to make you.
That said, actions have consequences. Dropping the N bomb may get your arse whipped. It’s doesn’t stop there though, whipping someone’s arse bc they said something to you should land you in jail for battery.
There’s also no such thing as a hate crime.
Cain slaying Abel was a hate crime. It’s irrelevant.

Anything that gets that kind of reaction from people gets attention.
It being a major double standard of “You can’t use that word, only WE can use that word!” in particular gets people to want to take the piss out of the black community over it considering it is pretty much a comma to them.

Spot fricking on, and this doesn't just apply to kids. No matter how close you and your black friend may be, just know that in a situation where you are harassed by other blacks, your black friend will almost always side with the other blacks and join in on the harassment.
