I agree - democracy has failed us - I don’t want demon possessed leftists voting - their opinion is wrong and therefore shouldn’t count.
Our country would be better if Trump just took over for 10 years and just did what is needed to fix things then we do a complete reset.

If you’re massively in debt there’s two ways out of it. Stop spending or increase your income so you can pay more on it. If we were just a little in debt that would be one thing, but the hole is unfathomly big. We can cut spending but the only things that make any difference to cut are the military, social security, Medicare, and Medicaid. And the right seems to push back on cutting that just as much as the left. So we’re left with tax increases. Keeping on spending (or doing what we’re doing cutting things like USAID and pretending that’s the solution) while not increasing tax revenue is the worst thing we can do as it will just make the debt increase which is what we’re on track to do.

Uhh, not sure what you are disagreeing with. Newt Gingrich's congress did balance the budget. They did pass bills to do everything in The Contract with America; and they were voted out of the majority for it. I'm just not sure what you were disagreeing with?

Why does Congress need DOGE to cut NPR and PBS?
What did DOGE really do that wasn't already being done by the many audits each department were doing already?
Once Elon lost his special election and the courts kicked back his move fast and break things agenda it was over. There was never a mandate to burn the government to the ground and he overplayed his hand spectacularly, getting on X and talking about how he was going to have every regulation under the sun repealed and starting from scratch, as if that would ever happen and wouldn't cause mass chaos if it did.
Also the idea that austerity alone will fix the country completely misunderstands basic economics and didn't see how that philosophy fricked over the UK.
As usual it's not as simple as red team vs blue team but most are emotionally unable to understand that.
