Yeah the political ramifications of all that as I see it is that a good chunk of people on the left are going to be convinced that they’ll be voting Democrat. They’ve made up their minds again. It could get pretty interesting……if you were able to get inside their heads and see how that unusual thought process happens.

In the old days you never heard about this sort of thing. The Bell Tower shooter in Texas (in the 60's) was one of the first and it was discovered at autopsy that he had a brain tumor that probably made him insane.
Then you had a guy in the 80's that shot up a diner. And you had a few workplace shootings in the 80's/90's where 2 or 3 were killed. Postal workers were so often involved that it became known as "going postal."
But it wasn't until Columbine in '99 that these totally random shootings took off as a phenomenon. Ever since then it's been utter chaos with mass shootings. It seems every 2-3 years we get a "big one" with 10+ dead.
So what's the psych profile of these guys? Are they merely psychopaths? Are they psychotic? Are they schizotypal personality? A combination of all?
And why would an 18 year old do it? He looks like a ton of dudes I went to school with. Why would an 18 year old care so much about politics/racism/white replacement (or whatever)? Shouldn't be be worried about school and dating? Is he really that much of an "outcast" that he felt he had nothing to lose?
I know they will blame the racism in this case, but I don't think that's what truly motivates these crimes. There's lot of 8Chan incels out there. There's lots of racists on the Internet, but very few of them do stuff like this. No, something pushes these guys "over the edge."
