I hope the SA farmers don't accept the invitation. They would be going from the frying pan into the fire. The last time I checked it's still illegal for a non-Russian to actually own land in Russia.
As soon as the farmers got their farms up and productive, it would be just like Russia to find a reason to take over their farms and give them to Russians.

The people who support the anc feel like victims, and I get that. However, what's happening now is not the way to erase centuries old feelings. They can't be erased, and what happened hundreds of years ago isn't the fault of native white africans. The government should focus on strengthening agricultural programs for all growers, rather than expropriating farms and hoping the new owners can somehow manage them. They can invest in agronomy, ag science and research, tax programs for manufacturers and chemical suppliers, etc...

I don't agree with him about apartheid. All I'll say is that south Africa is not what it is today without it. Maybe that's good, maybe that's bad.
One this is for sure, though. What the anc is doing now is every bit as racist and disgusting as apartheid.

In England, we met a couple from South Africa who were traveling to find a new home. He had a furniture mfg. business.
In the words of his wife, "You show me a tribe that can feed itself and I'll show you a bloody miracle."
They had three young sons and saw no future in South Africa.
This was twenty years ago and I hope that they are long gone from SA.

You don't even have to give them farmland. A lot of farmers are experiencing shortages of good qualified labor. Some are having to get guys from Mexico and Central America, and few already have South Africans here on work Visas.
Come here, work for one year, pay your taxes, don't break any laws, and then get priority citizenship status. If you don't do the above you get deported back.

Would you offer the same deal to our current farmers? The ones who rely of farm subsidies (which is a form of welfare). Instead of citizenship for them, perhaps give them a tax break.
Whether it be white Afrikaners or Hispanics, I'd be more careful about increasing immigration in general. It honestly seems like some of you would rather invest in a cheaper outsider than in our state economies.

What we need to do is to offer asylum to these South African farmers. There's good land to be worked here in the USA, and it will actually be appreciated by this country.
And unlike the Honduras and Guatemalans, this is an actual, legitimate asylum issue. It won't be long before their government kills these farmers one way or another. They don't deserve to be punished for the transgressions of their ancestors.
*As an added bonus, offering them asylum would absolutely cause a hysterical melt by the left.
