It is part of what makes arguing with the cultists so pointless.
We are arguing from a consistent ideology, and our arguments are rooted in said ideology, our own experience, and personal divergences and affirmations.
They base their worldview on the bones of an ideology, but really it is the whims and fancies of a guy. . .and they will work backwards from his whims to force them in line with their ideology. . .irrespective of all else
The left is basically the same, they also base everything they think and do on Trump
