If they are good enough at their jobs they would have no problem with getting a private sector job. We should no as taxpayers made to feel it necessary to guarantee their livelihood
LOL..you have it all figured out. In your world we would have no military because there would be no one to fix shite that breaks, operate the weapons, etc...

Dems should crash the system
This is their last stand
Mass media will blame trump for the catastrophe
Dem are bolsheviks and right now a Bolshevik would see this moment in time as the right moment to crash the whole system

Why? The military is getting paid
How would you know that?

They shouldn’t receive anything at all, let alone anything more than what they are asking.

Equating military personnel to general staffing personnel that populate the departments of various agencies is a bit overdone as the military is one of the few departments that should more than adequate

The Republicans. They always cave and give in to the Democrats for fear of the MSM saying mean things about them.
That’s when the shoe was on the other foot and Republicans were the ones refusing a clean CR.

Who cares? I’d be happy if they never reopen this shitshow

Could start arresting Dem politicians for obvious crimes they’ve committed.
Dem politicians want the American people to suffer with an extended shutdown.
Time to bring the pain back to them through all facets of the American criminal justice system.

I'm not the one that lumped everyone into the category. You did

A lot of those non-essential employees can be permanently laid off. That's the good news.

Military members aren’t the one’s being being considered in trimming down in the government. You speculated that people should be protected from losing jobs because they in good faith took jobs there. I don’t think you’ll find a honest military personnel that says their service is but a job but rather a job needing done. Having 7 million people directly or indirectly as contractors working for the federal government is a bit bloated. If the cut 10% they would still have over 6 million and very little in services would be different.

Don’t tease me, I won’t have to fight to get one turkey from the welfare queen with six in her basket..

The Dems will. Count on it.

The left will win this battle.
They care nothing about people or the country.
In fact it is their objective to destroy this country.
It’s a win win for them.

Here’s the breakdown:
What’s been paid
October 15 paycheck: Covered by redirected Defense funds.
Coast Guard: Also confirmed paid, thanks to an “innovative solution” from Homeland Security.
What’s uncertain
October 31 paycheck: Still unclear. The same workaround may not apply again.
Future pay: If the shutdown drags on, military personnel may be forced to work without pay until a budget deal is reached.
No one should be advocating for the military to get paid. It shouldn't. Border patrol, ICE, FBI, ATC, etc. should not be paid. All this is doing is removing one of the more untenable aspects of this shutdown for the useless Congress. They collectively got us here. We should not be happy about something that makes their position easier.
Pay no one. Don't use loopholes or workarounds, change the rules, or try to pass new legislation. Let's see where this goes.

Because the plug was pulled on most federal travel.

The Marxist Dems. They have no power and their influence has been dwindling for years. The only reason the general public believe they are relevant is the MSM propaganda machine., and that is also weakening by the hour.
