I will put you down as supporting all of his positions in the OP.
LOL! What I stated in my first response to this thread would very much so show you wrong.
And this response from you was after I showed you where he was shrinking the federal Gov.
Eliminating 62 agencies.... 30% decrease to EPA, etc etc

I understand that. You might still end up in a position where you'd need one someday.

Did any poster agree with Trump on the points in the OP???
quote:
1) his support of Obamacare lite?
This Ryancare.
quote:
2) his willingness to consider a horrible tax idea in the form of a BAT
Trump's initial reaction to Ryan's blanket tariff of 20% on all imports was, "I don't love it." I still think he doesn't like it.
quote:
3) his continuation of the Middle East wars
He's doing clean-up.
quote:
4) his commitment to maintain welfare spending
I don't disagree with military spending. The strongest military in the world allows us to ultimately control the dollar.
quote:
5) his threats against conservative congressmen who do not support TrumpCare
I don't like this at all.

Trump won. You folks have to stop using accusations against Democrats to excuse the behavior of our sitting President.

I would be much less concerned if I decide to re-up and get 4-8 years of service in that would be related to the investigation rather than 9 years of my 20's.

Not a bad way to go. There are a lot of lat movers into cyber.

Trump is playing clean-up. He's not an interventionist like Hillary. When there are unprovoked new wars (like Libya) I'll change my tune.
He has already sent more troops into Syria and called for a defense budget increase of $58 billion.

I think Trump wants Medicare for the "poor" (however that is defined) and free market system for the people above the poverty line. I totally admit, Trump is not conservative when it comes to healthcare. Let's hope the conservatives in congress can push him more right.
Wheres the bill?

No. (I think we will get that under Trump. The guy is already not spending the money that is appropriated to him by congress. I don't know how this will end when the executive branch has a surplus at the end of the fiscal year. Also the budget he proposed has all kinds of Dems and Reps pissed about the cuts in spending.)

Yeah. Want's to nix working visa abuse. Like H1B abuse.
What does this mean? Are H1 visa holders not hardworking, tax paying people?

Means that corporations are replacing American workers with cheaper non-citizen labor.

Gorsuch nomination and cracking down on immigration is enough for me to be ok with him so far.
He is also slashing regulations left and right and reducing/eliminating useless Govt agencies.
Can't have everything you want. But if his trade deals, promised tax reform, and regulation cuts lead to economic growth and limiting immigration means Americans get the newly created jobs, then welfare will cut itself

I am most impressed that he apparently got pissed on by prostitutes in Russia! It's pretty brave. Some of those bitches could have been from Chernobyl!

Explain to me please, as someone in their early 20's, when was SS, Medicaid, Medicare ever on a sustainable pace? What has caused it to become an imminent bankruptcy catalyst?
Genuinely asking. Has each generation feared the economic repercussions of these programs?
TIA

Too many people, aging population basically

Wouldn't more people/higher population = more people paying into the funds? So it would offset the higher number of aging people who need it.

What is conservative about prohibiting employers from hiring working, taxpaying people????
Nothing. It is simply short sighted, perhaps bigoted, big government, anti individual freedom thinking.
Let me repeat ole IB's stance on immigration since we have a welfare state---but for the welfare state I would be for completely open borders--
1) we should immediately end welfare for non citizens--welfare should not be an incentive for immigration
2) we should immediately grant green cards to anyone working in the USA that wishes one so long as that person can prove employment, prove they have health insurance and pays taxes.
3) we should let in anyone that is coming to take a job in the USA that can be confirmed by their employer and that can prove they have bought health insurance to cover their stay in the USA and that has the necessary documents to pay taxes.
4) all visa holders of any kind should be imprisoned or deported if they are convicted of a felony while in the USA.
Now that is a conservative plan that respects individual freedom and is a workable plan.
It is just plain stupid to deport taxpaying working people who are not on welfare regardless of the circumstance of their arrival in the US.
Why would anyone other than a bigot deny the country the benefit of the industry of a taxpaying working man or woman?

Anyone that supports any of Trump's positions in the OP is no conservative.
