Oh please, you have a comprehensive misunderstanding of what happened.
Will Durant pointed out that historians need over 100 years to be isolated enough from the past.
Lincoln has always been one of the greatest, the fact that someone who openly hates America hates him shows how his keeping the union together was so critical and how much he had to do to keep it together.
It was a crisis beyond what other presidents faced.
If progressive historians liked Ice Cream it doesn't mean there is anything wrong with Ice Cream.

I provided facts about his actions and all you are doing is sticking your fingers in your ears and saying that's what they did. He did those things.
I don't have to like the actions of the South to confidently say Lincoln was a POS, his actions prove it. As a child I learned in school he was one of the greatest Presidents, as an adult who can read history books, I have come to understand he was far from it. He trampled the Constitution along with Americans rights. The USA existed without the South.
I can tell you have no understanding of the mindset of sovereignty as it was part of the culture in the 19th century.
If California, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii decided to secede, is Trump justified in using the military to compel them to return? Would 5,000,000 casualties be acceptable?
