Ima go out on a limb and say this guy is incorrect about a 488 yd shot. He doesn’t have any connection to the situation and is the only person saying this.

Did you know that you can tell how far a shot is based on the sound? Time lapse between the crack of arriving bullet (supersonic) to the boom of muzzle blast (sonic).

There is a report the sniper that killed the assassin was 488 yards away? Can you post said report

Dan Bongino said Secret Service Snipers have an effect range of under 1000 yards. Apparently, they can’t see 130 yards though.

Meh..... I'll take Erik Prince's word for it. He knows what he's talking about.
Just sayin

Has the 488 yd shot been confirmed? Because the stage was ~440 feet from the sniper.

1344 feet puts you on the opposite side of the property, which is a possibility.

The law enforcement sniper (unclear if USSS) in newsreels was clearly overwhelmed as his face came off his rifle instead of doing his job to kill the shooter. Clearly they were watching the shooter but apparently have a no "first shot" policy. The only positive action was an apparent 488yd shot by one USSS sniper which despatched the assasin but after the assassin launched at least 5 rounds, wounding DJT and killing and severely others in the crowd. There's a thread on it.

So, again, how did the USSS allow a would be assassin to get within 200 yds of the president with a rifle and then had their own people take him out from over double that distance?

good job.

I think the 3rd sniper (USSS) was over by that pond. You have to think they are generally worried about the crowd of people. There's lots of coverage up by the stage. It makes sense their priority would be the 6 o'clock.

I think at least the snipers on the left hand side barn have a "shot finder" mounted on a tripod. Not that it did a lot of good.
