Yep, their military spending is barely at 1%. NATO is basically just the USA that pays for everything. That's why Trump cut their funds in 2019. If those countries got invaded they'd have no way to defend themselves. Germany been imasculated ever since WW2 and the English and French are cowards that can't be depended on.

Trembling nervously. In reality you are correct, they are waiting on us. Before we provide air cover we need to take what we have in Germany and invade them. Once Germany is out of the way we can go about messing stuff up.

They have around 200k serviceman both active and reserve. Their military spending is at 1.5% of the GDP, barely 50 billion. The US spends almost 800 billion in contrast. They could barely defend a city with that amount let a lone a whole country.

They do, kinda. Too bad most of their major assets like tanks aircraft and ships and submarines are down for maintenance for lack of parts. The only military worth a crap left in Europe is probably the French. The British military is small but professional. So small that there is no way they could stop the Argentinians from retaking the Falkland islands if they wanted to. Their power projection capabilities are gone other than maybe a zone around their islands.

The whole of Europe relies on the United States for its deterrence of force. NATO is a joke.
I have done enough combat deployments and UN peacekeeping missions to see what the rest of NATO brings to the table.

well its a lot easier to be all "lets go to war" when some other countries military will spend trillions to be your police force and be on the ready to do it for you
now we got tranny soldiers and transgenders in every leadership position in the military. the sad truth is, we suck now and its only getting worse and we would get our asses kicked if we had to do anything more then drones or special forces ops

There's probably 6 countries that in the early part of the 20th Century could have given us trouble (not necessarily beat us, but were established and/or strong militarily).
UK, France, Germany, Russia, China, Japan.
Coming out of WW2 and ever since, we've had the UK, France, Germany and Japan reliant on us for military defense (Germany and Japan under conditions from the end of the war, UK and France because they're war-weary), but still collectively pointed at China and Russia.
We can piss and moan about the way things are now, but the past 70+ years have seen us undisputed on top of the mountain.
I'm not sure I want a fully-invested Germany to become a military power, especially not with the EU the way it is. I think we might butt heads a lot more than we do with the Russians or Chinese.
