We went from a trade deficit to a trade surplus already. The results are happening in real time. We are seeing a trade surplus of 1 billion a day. We were seeing around 3 billion a day deficit. I guess that is a bad thing, right….RIGHT?

Billions worth of projects have already been announced? You expect it to get build overnight? I’m sure one of your democrats will cancel all future investing in American jobs anyway

Yet, you are in lockstep with MSNBC and CNN. Surely you all must be right then. Time will tell. Watch out for that cliff lemming boy

Imagine being retarded enough to believe this

First, I’d like to see a link. But assuming that is true, and also assuming that the lack of imports wasn’t offset by domestic production, that means that there are a lot of companies that are doing more with less or are going to exhaust their inventories while trade deals are hammered out.
Neither are what I would call great economic indicators.

You are not a clever bottom....just an old flaming Powerbottom.

That seems pretty fricking obvious.

Well yeah anyone with a pulse knew this would happen. Now look at how the new trade deal will affect the US. Short term pain for long term gain. It is that simple.
Second, it's great we're so happy about incremental gains in tariffs and declaring a big victory - despite the real issues being AI dominance, espionage, critical manufacturing and rare earths.
But sure, eat it all up.

Roger is in hiding on the Tiger Rant saying it doesn't matter if LSU loses to Clemson

Which is why it's silly to act like we've won or achieved anything without knowing the long term results.
You and many others jumped on the TDS panic express instantaneously and bought into the doom.
Only now that things are leveling off do you now want to wait out long term results.
If nothing else your inconsistency is extremely consistent in all things Trump related.

He started a thread on this a few weeks ago and was unable to cite any evidence
We had a record high trade deficit in March in anticipation of the tariffs. The month of April is a snapshot that isn't even worth looking at because of this fact.
Sometimes you need to zoom out to see the big picture. The idea that we're going to be running a 1 billion dollar a day surplus from here going forward is the most ridiculous shite ever

And it should be noted that Bessent has publicly said AI and quantum are the only things that really matter at this point.

Trump induced these higher tariffs when our trading partners refused to play on a level field. Did you think these negotiation tactics / tariffs would stay in place forever?
Now that they have come to the negotiating table, that bothers you why?
DJT did what he told you he would. He forced negotiations. They are all negotiating trade agreements now.
Be better.

paging Roger???????? Funny you are back posting, but you ignored this thread like the plague. Not enough character to come say that you were wrong.

do you actually realize how stupid this sounds? You are doing a gotcha that was on policy that actually was intended to accomplish what it is accomplishing? You think Trump was going to keep high Tariffs? He knew he had them and it was only a matter of time before they folded. And yet, you think he folded. Unbelievable.

Not true. CNN has admitted Trump won the tariff standoff with China and conceded all other nations will play ball.
It is unfortunate to know that Range Rover I’m never going to buy is going to cost more when I don’t buy it.
