Every day the democrats say that 20% is evil and doesn't pay enough and the 50% that pays nothing deserves more.

what If I told you it is often white people who say this....
yesterday it was two divorced white women going off on FB about "the system doesn't work for 80% of Americans"
One (Woman A) of the went off about how her parents divorced and had an abusive father..."my mother did the best she could"
she (Woman A) was married for 20 years...had 4 kids, homeschooling them, then she cheated on her husband who was earning 150k range...they divorced 2 years ago
now she is upset that it took her nearly 3 years to get a job, barely enough to make ends meet..."and I have a degree from NC State"...
but the degree was from 20 years ago...she hasn't worked in many years..
some how all the cheating on her husband is connected to how her dad treated/abused her... they also have a 19 year old son who is transgender now, engaged to a lesbian...(not making this up)
the other white woman (Woman B) divorcee said her husband was abusive and she stayed too long in the relationship...
she complains all the time about women pay gap
they hate Trump with a passion...

It means that the only Americans who are truly prosperous, are those who have already accumulated affluence (Baby Boomers), and/or those (probably 20% or less) who access the highly skilled/well paying jobs in the new economy.
Satisfaction weighs in too. Hell, back in my youth when I smoked herb and read philosophy I viewed 'job' as a monotonous, spirit-killing, life sentence and a four letter word.

If you truly want the opinion of the side, might I suggest Quora or other liberal or half-liberal websites where you may get the opinions of other leftist.
I would say that Democrats are referring primarily to the working poor. A group that conservatives overlook because it's very existence undermines Republican talking points.

It means that 80% don’t have what the 20% has so they think Govt should take from the 20% and equal things out. They think it would mean that everyone would get to live like the 20%, but in reality, everybody would live like the 80%.
