I know it's been a massive focus to turn that state blue. They have moved operatives into it and a mass exodus from Cali to TX is reshaping it.

If it goes blue, there would be no path to the presidency.

My question is what can TX do to reach those metro areas that normally go blue first?

Hope they get families & real jobs before another important election?

If you vote straight D after the age of 26, you're an idiot.

Texas is full of Illegal Immigrants and Homosexual Aggies. There is nothing that can be done. Eventually it will be Blue.

Just a matter of time, considering the change of demographics.

Well, I guess it could be delayed if Republicans would cease making Hispanics their boogeymen and scapegoats, but that doesn't seem to likely any time soon.

The Houston area alone has 165 new people each day moving to the area. The largest number of people moving to the Houston area is from Louisiana - a red state.

If the influx of Californians continues to increase, it will be blue in a decade

Then they'll be moving out in another 10 years when they're paying taxes out the arse for terrible public services

Lulz. You are worrying about the wrong state university. Most Aggies are just "good old boys" compared to their tea sip cousins. T-bird can confirm.

I read that its something like 10% of adults in Louisiana will move to Texas in general.

I'd guess that 95% of Texans over 70 vote red across the board and there are less of those people for every vote so I'd imagine it'll happen eventually.

But not any time soon.

The states Californians are 'fleeing' to are:

Nevada
Texas
Florida
Tennessee

All in search of lower Taxes. Which is ironic that they move from California and continue to vote for Democrats in their new States that will just increase taxes and spending
